We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join an innovative engineering firm based in Southeast London. This role offers the chance to work in a rapidly evolving industry with a focus on accurate financial record-keeping and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and record supplier invoices and payments.
- Prepare weekly and monthly payroll for employees.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end financial reports.
- Handle expenses and prepare VAT returns.
Ideal Candidate:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within an engineering or technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems (experience with Sage 50 is desirable).
- Ability to manage multiple financial accounts simultaneously.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
