Head of Engineering

Head of Engineering – Hybrid (once a fortnight) – up to £120,000! 

My client is looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to work on a new-to-market, independent technology platform, with a start-up mentality and culture, but the financial backing and security of a very well-known company. They are committed to creating a culture of agility, design-thinking, and true cross-functional collaboration. And are providing the room for new thinking, evolving architecture, and genuine rapid change capability. 

The Head of Engineering will lead major technical change initiatives for their product roadmap, improvement in the Engineering target operating model, and ensure appropriate execution of their architecture principles and engineering excellence strategy. 

What you need: 

• Solid software development/engineering background (preferred back-end programming like Node.js or Golang). 
• AWS experience (particularly with serverless technologies). 
• Extensive leadership/mentoring experience (directly managing multiple engineers/developers). 
• Ideally experienced building consumer facing products (based on microservice architecture principles). 
• Strong working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD best practices. 

What we offer: 

• Salary of up to £120,000, plus an annual discretionary bonus!
