Our client is a leading educational charity, located in central London currently looking for someone reporting in as an HR Advisor, this role will be responsible for providing administrative support across a wide range of HR areas including HR system administration, recruitment and onboarding, as well as general administrative support for the HR team. 

Main Duties / Responsibilities: 

  • Supporting HR System requirements related to all Employee Life Cycle transactions 
  • Conducting all necessary pre-employment checks such as RTW checks and obtaining satisfactory references, prior to new starters joining 
  • Provide day-to-day advice and guidance to heads of departments and managers on all people matters including probations, conduct, attendance (including Occupational Health referrals where needed), performance, pay and workplace adjustment needs. 
  • Develop a 12-month plan and deliver elements of the plan as agreed with the Head of HR, of short bite-sized training sessions on people-related activities for managers including topics such as selection, performance development, early complaints resolution, managing attendance and adjustments. 
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for dealing with any general HR enquiries, escalating more complex queries where necessary 
  • Carrying out all the administrative processes in the recruitment procedure 
  • To be considered for this role, candidates should have: 
  • Prior experience in an HR Administration role OR General Administration experience & an HR qualification / CIPD 
  • The ability to manage their own workload and prioritise tasks accordingly 
  • Excellent organisational skills
