Overview:
We are seeking a temporary Office Manager who can hit the ground running and support our charity’s operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and previous experience in the charity or third sector, looking to make an impact within a close-knit, purpose-led team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Coordination:

  • Direct and monitor the work of Administration, Fundraising/Event Coordination, and other team members.
  • Track and review team performance, providing feedback and support to achieve daily and weekly goals.
  • Manage scheduling, authorise holiday requests, and maintain absence records.

2. Office & Communication Management:

  • Independently manage day-to-day office activities and communications, creating a welcoming environment for visitors.
  • Collaborate with Trustees on organisational goals, offering updates and insights on outstanding issues.
  • Maintain office supplies and storage, ensuring an efficient, well-organised workspace.

3. Administrative Tasks:

  • Manage emails, incoming posts, and phone calls, responding promptly and updating the office diary.
  • Maintain and update office records, staff contact lists, and volunteer information.
  • Draft letters and reports, ensuring GDPR compliance across all tasks.

4. Financial Administration:

  • Process donations, maintain donor records, and ensure timely acknowledgements are sent.
  • Log cash, and cheques, and arrange banking as needed.

Your Ideal Background:
The ideal candidate will have experience managing teams in a charity setting, with an ability to prioritise tasks, and maintain a positive, professional office environment. You’re proactive, empathetic, and committed to delivering high standards, even temporarily.

 

Working Hours: 3 full office days (Tues-Thurs), 4 hours remote on Fridays
