we are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a Not for Profit organisation with offices also based in Central London.
This charitable membership organization’s mission is to assist and advocate for individuals who work with and for children and young people with disabilities, special needs, and learning differences. They are a significant and fulfilling charity that positively impacts the lives of young people. They work on government-sponsored programmes to provide resources, training, and information so that community members in the UK and around the world have access to the most recent information and assistance.
The ideal candidate for the position of project manager would have experience working in a PMO setting. The Contracts and Programme Manager is supported by a solid team of project managers, including two senior project managers. The primary programme that this position will be involved in is one that will train instructors on how to work with students that have special educational needs, disabilities, and learning differences in the classroom.
This position is on a fixed-term contract through August 2024, however there may be opportunity for you to stay on the PMO Team and possibly move into a permanent position, depending on how you perform and which projects are underway in 2024. The projects will be very diversified and offer a lot of variation, making it possible for you to develop a wide range of transferrable skills. You will just need to be in the office once a week because it only pays £28,280 a year for a full-time employee.
The Role
Support the delivery of special educational needs and disability projects delivered across the organisation. You will be responsible for effective and efficient project management across multiple strands
– Support the tracking, monitoring and reporting of multiple project strands including project timelines, project documents and project finances.
Desirable
– Experience of budget management.
– Knowledge of the Education system, schools, further education, alternative provision Experience of working in the voluntary sector
– Liaise with external and internal colleagues regarding project strands on behalf of the organisation

– Provide oversight of all project strands’ progress and reporting
Minimum Requirements
– Experience coordinating or supporting a project or multiple strands and have all round strong Project Manager Skills
– Experience of working with professionals from a variety of backgrounds and professional groups.
– Experience using a range of project and programme management tools (e.g. risk registers, project plans, lessons logs
