An amazing opening has emerged for a Top 100 UK chartered accountancy practice located in Aldgate. They are a commercially successful, shrewd organisation with a personal, partner-led service targeted towards entrepreneurial small and medium enterprises (SMEs), large corporates, Non-Profit organisations, and high-net worth individuals.

The clients of this firm hail from a varied range of milieu and are active in all branches of commerce and industry. Their reputation is moulded by their quality, achieving premium advisory services efficiently and cost-effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Producing tax provisions for use in statutory accounts
  • Filing corporation tax returns
  • Supporting the Partners with corporation tax advisory issues
  • Taking on elaborate compliance work and corporate tax computations
  • Dealing with HMRC correspondence
  • Supplying guidance on corporation tax matters to the audit teams
  • Supporting with the production and filing of Form 42 and ATED returns
  • Managing a portfolio of clients
  • Mentoring and training junior staff
  • Other ad hoc duties in line with the role

 

A successful candidate should possess the following qualities:

  • Previous experience of managing a portfolio of clients
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Teamworking capabilities
  • Strong computer literacy
  • The skill to handle complex compliance for primarily owner managed businesses
  • The skill to motivate others

The successful candidate should ideally be CTA qualified and have at least 5 years’ experience within corporate tax, including at least two years PQE.

It would also be favourable if the successful candidate had experience using Alphatax, although training will still be provided.

A generous salary of £70,000 per annum is on offer with a hybrid working pattern (2 office days per week) plus other benefits.
